The Emir of Kano, Mallam Muhammadu Sanusi II has been reportedly dethroned by the Kano State Executive council.
The announcement was made by the Special Adviser to the Kano State Governor on Media, Salihu Tanko Yakasai.
The Emir of Kano was dethroned during a special sitting held today by the council.
According to Salihu, the decision to dethrone Emir Sanusi was a unanimous one.
The statement reads: The Kano State Executive Council has unanimously approved the dethronement of the Emir of Kano Mallam Muhammad Sanusi II at a special sitting held today by the council”.
“Majalisar Zartarwar jihar Kano ta amince da tsige Sarkin Kano Mallam Muhammad Sanusi II.”
