Kidnappers have abducted a daughter of the member representing Danbatta Constituency in the Kano state House of Assembly, Murtala Musa Kore.
Galaxy TV correspondent King Richard reports that the incident occurred around 2 am on Sunday morning at the legislator’s home in Kore village, Danbatta local government area, Kano.
The 17-year-old victim is a senior secondary II student of Government Girls Secondary School, Jogana.
Kore reveals to journalists in Kano that the attackers told his family that they wanted to kidnap him but had to take away his daughter in his absence.
The legislator said the kidnappers are yet to contact him for ransom.
Kidnapping for ransom is becoming a common crime in Kano perpetrated mostly by members of close relatives.
