Adamu Atiku-Abubakar, son of former vice president and former PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar has affirmed his father will be contesting for the office of the president in 2023.
Adamu made this known while presenting the scorecard of the ministry of Works and energy in Adamawa, where he is the commissioner.
He said, “Personally, I don’t see anything wrong with my father contesting for the presidency. In 2023, my father will be aspiring to the number one office in the land because he has been an astute, strategic, master politician for almost four decades.”
Speaking further, he added that Governor Fintri’s administration has met and surpassed the expectations of Adamawa people.
Speaking on his late entrance to politics, he revealed it was his father that advised him to spend some time in the private sector in order to gain some experiences which will be valuable in the public sector.
He added that he is passionate about serving his people and he will go back home to run for a senatorial seat if called upon.
“I am basically here to serve my people; if I am called by the people back home to run for the Senate, I don’t see anything wrong with that,” he said.
