Nigeria Record First Death From Coronavirus

He started showing symptoms of the virus and Tuesday and it was reported to NCDC who took his blood sample for a test.

Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced one death from coronavirus.

This was contained in its Monday update.

The deceased was identified as Suleiman Achumugu, a former managing director of the Petroleum Products Marketing Company ) PPMC. He died on Monday at 2 am.

Achumugu, who was reportedly an indigene of Kogi state got back from the United Kingdom two weeks ago.

He started showing symptoms of the virus and Tuesday and it was reported to NCDC who took his blood sample for a test.

He was moved the Specialist Hospital, Gwagwalada in Abuja where he was receiving treatment till his demise.

The Cable reports his family are being quarantined at their home.

The NCDC also announced there are five new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria.
