The Nigeria Federal Ministry of Finance has appealed to Elon Musk, co-founder, CEO and product architect of Tesla to donate some ventilators to Nigeria’s fight against coronavirus.
Elon Musk had tweeted that some ventilators will be shipped to some Tesla Delivery regions.
“We have extra FDA-approved ventilators. Will ship to hospitals worldwide within Tesla delivery regions. Device & shipping cost are free. Only requirement is that the vents are needed immediately for patients, not stored in a warehouse. Please me or @Tesla know.”
The Nigerian Ministry of Finance, in response, appealed that 100-500 ventilators be donated to Nigeria to support the government in tackling cases of COVID-19.
Dear @elonmusk @Tesla Federal Government of Nigeria needs support with 100-500 ventilators to assist with #Covid19 cases arising every day in Nigeria.
Different reactions have however trailed the appealed as many believe Nigeria should not be begging for a ‘give-away- on twitter in other to treat coronavirus.
