A filling station owned by the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and located at College Road, Ogba, Ikeja is on fire.
Firefighters were already present at the scene to contain the fire outbreak.
TheCable reported that the outbreak started around 1 pm today, Monday.
According to an eyewitness, the fire began at some minutes before 1 pm on Monday, when a tanker was discharging fuel at the station.
The environment where the NNPC station is located is engulfed in thick smoke but there is no report of any causality as at the time of writing this report.
It should be recalled there has been a series of fire outbreaks since the beginning of the lockdown declared in Abuja, Ogun and Lagos state.
Some of the affected edifices are The Accountant General’s office, Corporate Affairs Commission’s office, Independent National Electoral Commission Office in Abuja and Dugbe market in Ibadan
