No New Cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria – NCDC

The NCDC has, however, appealed to Nigerians to stop spreading fake news about new cases.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has said there are no new confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Nigeria.

Following the confirmed case of the Italian who was diagnosed with Coronavirus, there has been a lot of panic in the country.

The NCDC has, however, appealed to Nigerians to stop spreading fake news about new cases.

The diseases control agency, through the statement which was released on Twitter assured Nigerians they will be duly informed if there are new confirmed cases in Nigeria.

The statement reads, “There are ongoing rumours of new #COVID19 confirmed cases in Nigeria. This is false.

Our daily situation report provides details on suspected cases, contacts & response.

If there is a new confirmed case in Nigeria, this will be formally announced.”
